What’s the difference between a birth certificate and a CIEC extract?

The CIEC (international) version is multilingual and accepted in many countries without translation. Tell us the destination country — we order the version that works there.

I don’t know my commune of origin — can you still help?

Yes. The place of origin appears on Swiss IDs and old family documents; failing that, we locate the correct register from your birthplace and parents’ details.

Can you get certificates for relatives?

For direct family (children, parents, deceased relatives for estates) with proof of relationship and a signed authorisation where the registry requires it — we provide the form.
