The stamp that makes Swiss documents work abroad

An apostille certifies the signature and seal on a Swiss public document so authorities in 120+ Hague Convention countries accept it. Add it to any document you order here with one checkbox — or send us documents you already have.

Also for documents you hold

Already have the Swiss document? We apostille existing documents too — the cantonal chancellery must match the document’s origin, and we know which one.

Questions about this document

Which chancellery apostilles which document?
The one of the canton where the document was issued — a Geneva birth certificate can’t be apostilled in Zurich. We route each document to the right chancellery automatically.
Does my destination country accept apostilles?
120+ Hague Convention states do. If yours doesn’t, the path is embassy legalisation, which we also handle — name the country and we’ll confirm the route in the quote.
Do apostilled documents need translation too?
Often yes, if the authority works in another language — certified translation attaches to the same order, so the pack arrives complete.
